It’s 1986 and 10 year old Benny dreams of winning the Birdman Rally and being chosen by NASA to become an astronaut.  Then Benny’s world falls apart over a single day, as the space shuttle Challenger explodes on the other side of the world and his struggling family breaks apart before his eyes.

Faced with the reality that the workings of the human heart are far harder to understand than the aerodynamics of a bird wing, Benny searches for some certainty to cling to.
