Lucas Testro is an award-winning writer and director based in Melbourne, Australia.

He has directed, written and story edited for television drama series including Winners & Losers and Neighbours, and made short films for both teen and adult audiences that have played at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals & pop culture events - including Palm Springs International Shortfest, the Melbourne International Film Festival, the Giffoni Film Festival, Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival and San Diego Comic-Con. He made his theatre directing debut in 2013 with the Melbourne Fringe Festival hit Songs For Europe.

Lucas’s work is marked by a strong sense of story, compassion and a love of genre play and in-camera effects. He is particularly experienced at working with children and inexperienced actors to develop true and engaging performances.
